Mediations also are a time-saver. Mediations may take a couple hours or even a couple days, but trial cases can go on for years. Another consideration for mediation is the cost element. Going to trial is expensive. You need to pay for research data, reviewing of medical reports, expert witnesses, travel, accommodations, videographers and much more. There is a cost of mediation but is much smaller in comparison to all these other costs, plus the fee is split between the two parties.
