This Text is a Scam

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is sending out a warning about a new scam involving text messages about unemployment insurance.
If you received a text like the one pictured, do not respond to it or click any attachments or links. The message claims to be from the state workforce agency.
These texts are not from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS). In fact, they are a ploy to obtain your personal information.
Nobody from ODJFS will contact you and ask for personal information such as your social security number, username or password.
Report messages and people pretending to be state workforce agencies by:
- calling 1-866-720-5721
- visiting justice.gov/disaster-fraud
