As the economy reopens and we return (hopefully) to pre-pandemic “normalcy,” it’s safe to say that more people will be back on the roads. So then, what better time than now to review some safe driving tips? In this blog, we’ll look at ways to deal with common road hazards.

- Slow down and drive at a safe speed that matches the flow of traffic.
- Keep more distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.
- Keep your windshield and windows clear.
- Use your headlights at the appropriate times.

- Reckless Drivers
- When you see a driver creating a dangerous environment, slow down, let him/her pass and keep a safe distance.

- Slow down and try to change lanes.

- Watch out for road workers.
- Prepare to change lanes.

- When you see a pothole on the road, keep a firm grip on your steering wheel, slow down and, if it is safe, try to drive around the pothole.

- Treat it as a four-way stop. Make sure all vehicles are stopped before proceeding.

- If a collision is unavoidable, apply the brakes firmly and remain in your lane.
