Draft Day: Elk & Elk Supports Ohio’s Film Industry
Cleveland, OH – Scenes from the upcoming feature film "Draft Day" were recently shot at our main office in northeast Ohio. Last month, our attorneys were joined by the film’s producers to present a donation to the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.
"We believe in giving back to the community," said David Elk, a founding partner of Elk & Elk. "Keeping with that spirit, we have elected to donate all of the proceeds from our participation in this film to three deserving organizations or charities in the Cleveland area."
Accepting the check on behalf of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, Ivan Schwarz remarked, "This helps us to bring more movies here, create the industry we want to see flourish, and create economic development – that’s our goal."
Arthur Elk, Managing Partner of Elk & Elk, thanked director Ivan Reitman as well as the production companies, Lionsgate, Monticito Picture Co., and Oddlot Entertainment for the privilege of being selected to participate. The movie, starring Kevin Costner as the General Manager of the Cleveland Browns, Jennifer Garner and Denis Leary, is just one of many films GCFC has helped bring to Cleveland.
The Greater Cleveland Film Commission was created to promote interest in media production in Northeast Ohio.
UPDATE: "Draft Day" trailer released
