Get to Know Attorney Katie McCormick

Katie McCormick joined Elk + Elk six years ago, spending two years as a law clerk before assuming the role of an attorney for the past four years. Join us as we explore Katie’s professional journey and learn more about her personal interests.

How long have you been at Elk + Elk?

Katie: I’ve been with Elk + Elk for a total of six years—two years as a law clerk and the past four as an attorney.

What do you like best about working at Elk + Elk?

Katie: Despite joining our team of well-seasoned attorneys straight out of law school, I have always felt capable and respected at Elk + Elk. I feel very fortunate to have spent the past four years learning from and working with inspiring attorneys, both in their careers and as individuals.

What was your first job?

Katie: My first job was at a local gift shop the summer before starting college.

Do you have any pets?

Katie: I have two adorable dogs—Ru, a five-year-old Australian Shepherd mix, and Remy, a lively Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Katie: Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, reading, hiking, and occasionally participating in half marathons.

Who is your favorite Ohio sports team?

Katie: The Browns!

What is the most exciting or challenging thing you’ve ever done?

Katie: My recent visit to Thailand doubled as one of the most exciting and challenging trips of my life.

What is your favorite restaurant in Ohio?

Katie: It’s hard to pick just one, but I would say Il Rione, Molto Bene, or La Plaza.
